Eden Village of Mountain Home has purchased land to bring in a gated community consisting of tiny homes, a sustainable garden, and a community center where those who are disabled and have been chronically homeless in the Mountain Home area for longer than 12 months, can call home.

PROVEN PLAN TO FIGHT HOMELESSNESS

We are following a proven road map, expediting the success of our efforts.

The Eden Village concept is a proven model that started just north of us, in Springfield, MO. We’re partnering with Eden Village to ensure that we are prepared for any roadblocks that may come our way, as our goal is to get Arkansas its first community and grow it from there. The Springfield, MO team will help us in doing so. From grants, to purchase of property, planning and zoning and fundraising we need their help and yours to make Mountain Home, AR a city where #NoOneSleepsOutside.

GIVING THE OPPORTUNITY OF A HOME

Once one has shelter, they can begin to thrive, not simply survive.

The burden that the homeless has on our city and county resources is overwhelming. Homeless persons take time and resources from police, emergency responders, hospitals’ emergency rooms and shelters. Not only would the addition of an Eden Village be a humanitarian effort, but it would lessen the financial burden of our emergency resources as well as improve the appeal of our city.
