How do we go from Facebook Likes to Monetary Donations?

We’re a new non-profit in Tulsa, with little name recognition now, big dreams, and little money.  Eden Village of Tulsa is less than 5 months old, yet we’ve made some good strides so far.  We are an official 501 (C)(3) non-profit with IRS tax-free status.  We have a nice website, brochures, a Board, and a little money in the bank.  We have 17 acres of land under contract, with our site plan being developed for our first tiny home community serving the chronically homeless in Tulsa.  We’ve place deposits on our first 4 tiny homes being build in Neosho, MO, to be shipped here by the end of the year, hopefully, if our land infrastructure is ready.

Not really being a Facebook expert, I non the less put together a nice Facebook post, with our new Eden Village Utube Video on it, and boosted it to go to Tulsa people in our target market for supporters and donors.  After just a few days, I was pleased we had over 8,000 views, with over 3,000 engagements with comments, shares, and a bunch of likes.  However, we had ZERO dollars contributed to our cause.  That shows me what a big challenge we will have, in converting people from just liking something, to actually putting their money where their thumb is in this case.

It’s easy to say stuff, have opinions on the homeless problem, talk about how wonderful an idea this is, and give a Facebook thumbs up.  However, those things really don’t do a lot in getting things done and solving the problems.  It takes money, as with most everything else, to make something like an Eden Village to come to a reality.  I don’t know how we’re going to raise the $5.2M needed to fund this first 50 tiny home community, but have faith in God that He will bring it to a reality.  To do that though, it takes people to support us, who transfer some of God’s money to develop our Eden Village of Tulsa.

And as of now, every dollar contributed will be matched dollar for dollar by a group of generous Tulsa donors who really believe in the need and concept of Eden Village.  So please, help us now, so we can continue to build and develop Eden Village of Tulsa by the end of 2023, and bring 50 folks off the streets and into a dignified home and community with real hope for their futures.  Donate now online at: https://edenvillageusa.org/tulsa-ok/donate/.
