Eden Village Harrisburg began with a small group of local families who wanted to put their values into action in a practical, lasting way. Rather than focusing only on short-term relief, they asked a harder question: what does a long-term solution to chronic homelessness look like in Harrisburg?
With backgrounds in housing and real estate, the founding group focused on addressing the most persistent need they saw—permanent housing—and began building a local path to make it possible.
While serving unhoused neighbors through outreach and support at shelters and encampments, the founding group saw that many organizations were already providing essential day-to-day help. What remained hardest to solve was long-term stability: a safe home and a supportive environment to sustain it.
That search led to the Eden Village model: small homes, supportive services, and intentional community—a framework already being replicated in multiple cities.
